Who I Am
I’ve spent over two decades writing across genres—short fiction, plays, poetry, and nonfiction—publishing in state and national journals, magazines, and newspapers. Along the way, I’ve worked as a music and film critic, sports reporter, and professional wrestling writer, always drawn to stories where character matters more than polish.
In 2024, I published The Book of Lesser Traumas, a non-linear memoir that explores right and wrong, care and failure, and the quiet damage people carry with them. The book reflects a long-standing interest in moral ambiguity, personal consequence, and the moments that shape who we become.
My stage play Is That You, Kilgore Trout? received the Audience Choice Award at the 10th Annual Pyro Playfest, reinforcing my belief that audiences connect most deeply with honest voices and flawed people.
Beyond the page, I’ve hosted a classic country radio show, worked as a speaker and performer, and continue to explore storytelling through live spoken-word events. I’m currently booking a Summer 2026 spoken-word tour while developing new crime fiction set in Northeast Texas.
